FAQ 02 Fields of application

What are the main fields of application of POWERgrass hybrid grass?

POWERgrass was designed to offer a better alternative to natural grass

Changing direction is the most frequent action

POWERgrass has been designed to offer a better alternative to natural grass and entirely synthetic grass for the construction of all types of grass sports such as soccer, rugby and American football fields.

On natural grass pitches, the winter climate or the microclimate inside a stadium is very often unfavorable for the development of deep roots which translates into poor resistance to tearing during players' slides, therefore facilitating the formation of holes. In POWERgrass the natural grass grows inside the synthetic grass and the roots find an anchoring network to the artificial support; they therefore make the playing surface much more resistant and stable without ever causing holes to form.

In addition to the better quality and stability of the playing surface, the greater resistance etc., there are situations where POWERgrass solves problems where other floorings are not suitable because the roots of the natural grass together with the synthetic grass network aggregate all the materials into a single body obviating the hydrogeological risk caused by floods and inundations. This is particularly important for fields built near watercourses and in areas at risk of flooding.

Another extremely important application is inside athletics tracksbecause it allows you to form a high quality and intensive playing field without having to give up javelin, hammer and discus throws compared to the creation of an entirely synthetic field because any damage is easily repaired and invisible by restoring the natural grass.

Other applications are possible wherever it is necessary to reinforce natural grass. Tennis, volleyball and field hockey, golf tees, polo and riding tracks as well as green runways for airplanes are other fields of application if the spending budget allows it.

In public parks it is possible to create a free play area without barriers because POWERgrass strengthens the grass, without being removable because the roots are anchored in the ground. In gardens, the reinforcement of play areas around swimming pools is another possible application.
